The BIG MCC Bake Off!

In this fun-filled session Medway Culture Club welcomed local restaurateur and owner of the Jerk Cafe in Strood, Zena Campbell.  As a former teacher, Zena  lead the session using her own personal experience to teach the children what goes into running a restaurant.  Activities were aimed at 5-16 year-olds and included setting up a food stall and producing traditional Jamaican patties to take home and try with their families.  At Medway Culture Club, we believe that turning goal-setting into a fun and memorable activity students are more likely to engage and think more creatively about their futures.  

To finish, we served a hot lunch from Zena's restaurant, Jerk Cafe.
