Ahead of the 5th annual National Windrush Day, we held an interactive workshop using expressive arts based activities to describe the migration of people arriving in the UK from Caribbean countries between the 1940s and 1970s, who are known as the “Windrush Generation".
At our last session on 11th June, we had the pleasure of hearing from Mr Edward Warner, the father of our curriculum lead, Jason, who was able to give us his Windrush story, coming to England from Barbados as a boy. See his video below.
