Thank you to everyone who entered and big WELL DONE to the lucky winners of our Black History Month creativity competition.
🥉 Amelia takes 3rd prize with her beau tiful drawing of Mae Jemison, first African-American woman to travel into space. Amelia has wins 2 tickets to ice skating at Planet Ice, Gillingham.
🥈In second place we have Viera with her digital artwork of Ruby Bridges, the first African American child to attend a formerly whites-only school. Viera haswon a family ticket to a Medway heritage site courtesy of Rochester Castle.
🥇 And 1st place is awarded to Gabrielle with her Mary Seacole performance and colouring. Mary Jane Seacole was a British-Jamaican born businesswoman and author who is best known for providing sustenance and care for British soldiers at the battlefront during the Crimean War. Gabrielle walks away with a family ticket to Kent Life Farm.
