Discover Hidden Histories: A Black History Month Event for Kids!
Join us on October 5th for an exciting day of discovery and creativity designed for children aged 5-16! As part of Black History Month, we're unveiling the hidden histories of Britain, focusing on the untold stories and contributions of Black communities throughout the centuries.
This unique event offers a hands-on experience where young historians will explore the fascinating lives of Black Tudors, uncovering their stories through engaging activities. The highlight of the day will be the creation of a rustic Tudor scroll, which will showcase the rich history and legacy of Black Britons. This scroll will be proudly displayed in local libraries throughout Black History Month, allowing participants to contribute to their community's celebration of this important month.
Don't miss this opportunity for your child to learn, create, and be part of history. Whether they're crafting, exploring, or just curious, this event is the perfect way to celebrate Black History Month in a meaningful and fun way!
