Windrush 75 Celebrations Continue

We celebrated #Windrush75 earlier this month with a lesson on Windrush followed by a sculpturing session delivered by Intuartive and exhibition from North Kent Caribbean Network.

ITV News joined Medway Culture Club and spoke with our volunteers including founding member and chair person, Camealia, who has a special link to local Windrush hero, Asquith Xavier. She sights him as inspiring her desire to create change and improve diversity, equity and inclusion, not just in Medway but modern-day Britain.

We are delighted to be continuing the celebrations after today’s official 75th anniversary and on July 1st we will be creating Windrush T-Shirts and banners to parade in Medway Culture Club’s community carnival on 5th August!
